A visit to the knotty pine tavern is a must while you are at the Oxbo. The view of the river is spectacular, especially at sunset. Don't feel like cooking? That's Ok, homemade burgers, soups and chili are served, along with sandwiches and occasional specials. The local guides have called the Oxbo Burger, "the best burger in town". The First Lady of Oxbo makes everything from scratch, no soup starters or quick fixes for her customers. You may even come in and smell the fresh rolls and bread baking in the kitchen or you could even catch the Mayor waiting to steal a slice of warm bread under the excuse of quality control. Homecooked breakfast and brown bag lunches are served for groups, just be sure to make arrangements, with the First Lady, ahead of time.

While visiting the Oxbo Tavern, stroll around and browse the souvinier section, which includes T-shirts, caps, and can coolies, among other things. Any small items you may have left behind are probably available here too. Batteries, toothpaste or other toiletries or especially your bug spray, stop in to check!
